The event acts as a bridge between those who want to tap into the MENA content market and the regional players.
Dubai International Content Market (DICM) has re-opened its doors with a new and improved format that allows media and entertainment industry professionals to meet face-to-face and reconnect.
The DICM facilitates a business-to-business experience, inclusive of exhibiting solutions, and networking assistance.
The in-person will take place on November 24 and 25 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
DICM provides an opportunity for content buyers and sellers to generate leads and explore business prospects, but it also acts as the ultimate destination to network with top names in the field and access vital information that evolves business activities.
This year’s edition will feature over 55 companies exhibiting from more than 20 countries, including Russia – Roskino, South Korea – NIPA, Spain – ICEX and Turkey – ICC, as well as regional producers.
In a statement, the organisers said: “During the pandemic, the world has witnessed a major lockdown which resulted in families and individuals bonding over online broadcasting services such Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Shahid, StarzPlay, WatchIt and many more. This resulted in the improvement of these platforms as they saw a huge demand for quality content that accommodates the new generations. Social media channels also witnessed a major rise in the consumption time meaning due to the closure, users have been using social media more often as millennials are more vocal on these networking apps and are seeking content that they can relate to.
“Since we have seen an increase in the demand for these new types of content, DICM decided to bring you closer to what you’re looking for by welcoming the industry professionals and lending them an interactive platform that helps them to reconnect and establish their businesses taking in consideration the highest measure of safety.”
DICM also provides a dedicated marketplace for buying, selling, networking, financing and distributing entertainment content across all platforms and categories, including TV, Film and Digital, thus making it the perfect hub to expand the field of media purchasing.
The top companies from around the globe are participating in this year’s edition such as ISee Media from the UAE, Nstars from KSA, Caracol from Colombia, Indiacast, Star TV from India, All Media (A START) Company, Central Partnership, Riki Group, Wizart Animation, CTB Company, KION representing Russia, ATV, Intermedia, Kanal D International, Mistco from Turkey and KBS, EBS, ICONIX Co. ltd., Grafizix & HYBE Edu from South Korea, and National Film Board of Canada.
