Dubai Media City partnered with Dubai Lynx to enable the sustained growth of the regions thriving media and creative communications industry. The annual event for the creative communications industry in the MENA region was hosted from March 5 to 8, 2017 at Madinat Jumeirah.

At this years festival, Dubai Media City and TECOM Group presented in5, an integrated platform that provides a full ecosystem for entrepreneurs and start-ups in the creative communications and media fields. In5 serves as an incubator for start-ups and nurtures their next phase of growth through training and mentorship programs that empower them with cutting-edge skills.
In a drive to support early career development, Dubai Media City representatives offered career sessions that engaged several students. These sessions were supervised by a group of experts associated with the biggest companies in the Middle East, such as DDB Worldwide, Bold, J Walter Thompson, Leo Burnett, BPG Bates and UM MENA. The students were given important career advice, valuable feedback on their creative portfolios as well as the opportunity to network with leading industry experts
Al Suwaidi added: Dubai Media City passionately supports young entrepreneurial talent, and the festival provided a fertile ground for the regions creative youngsters to learn, network and be inspired.
More than 130 speakers from companies including Google, Instagram, WPP, J Walter Thompson Middle East Africa and IBM offered their insights on industry topics. In addition, a host of exhibitions and screenings presented the best creative communications work from across the region shortlisted for the 2017 Dubai Lynx Awards.
The Dubai Lynx Awards ceremony, on March 8, celebrated the regions best creative communications work. Evaluated by a panel of industry experts, this years awards featured 17 categories, including traditional print, digital campaigns and technology.
