Dubai Press Club (DPC) organised the ninth edition of the Emirati Media Forum (EMF), under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, according to a report by WAM.
The forum, graced by the presence of Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, brought together prominent Emirati media personalities, heads of UAE media organisations, as well as esteemed columnists, writers, and intellectuals.
The agreement to launch the ‘Economic Content Creators’ programme was signed on the sidelines of the Emirati Media Forum by Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council and Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy. The programme aims to hone the skills of content creators and journalists in analysing economic and financial developments and raise the quality of the media’s coverage of the economy.
Highlighting the forum’s significance, Sheikh Ahmed emphasised the pivotal role of local media in addressing key societal and economic issues. He underscored the media’s vital function as a platform for reflecting the aspirations of society, particularly amidst the complexities of today’s world.
