Dubai-based media and entertainment company Art&M has announced a new documentary on women’s cricket, Floodlight. The series centres on the UP Warriorz, a newly formed team in India’s Women’s Premier League (WPL) that comprises a mix of seasoned and emerging Indian cricketers alongside world-class international players.
Filmed across India, Dubai, the UK, and Australia, the series will highlight the WPL’s global impact and celebrate the athletes who are driving the growth of women’s sports. The docuseries will be directed by Arlene Nelson (Angel City, Secrets of Playboy). Art&M founder Arnab Chakraborty is serving as showrunner on the series, which is coproduced by Jinisha Sharma of Capri Global and Dipti Agrawal and Tushar Apshankar of Tudip Entertainment. UTA is handling worldwide sales for the series, in addition to representing Nelson.
Through intimate scenes, compelling interviews, and dynamic broadcast footage, Floodlight delves into the aspirations, determination, and challenges faced by players striving to excel in the fiercely competitive WPL.
