Eccho Rights has acquired the global rights for the Turkish drama I Am Mother, originally titled Sandık Kokusu, produced by the Istanbul-based production company O3 Medya. The series premiered on December 6 on Turkey’s Show TV.
Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, Handan Özkubat, expressed delight in partnering with O3 Medya and the excitement of introducing I Am Mother to a global audience. The narrative unfolds the story of a woman enduring her mother’s pain throughout her life, facing tests from her child, and navigating the complexities of life caught between two men.
The star-studded cast includes Özge Özpirinçci, known for impactful roles in Woman, First and Last, and Yakamoz S-245; Demet Akbağ, a luminary in the Turkish entertainment industry with roles in Bir Demet Tiyatro, Sevdaluk, and Scorpion; Metin Akdülger, celebrated for performances in Magnificent Century Kosem, Persona, and Necip Memilli, acclaimed for roles in The Pit, Dila, and Oh Belinda.
