The films submitted must be produced between January 2019 and the date of the inauguration of the festival and must be received by the selection committee before November 1.
Egypt will host the first Cairo Francophone Film Festival (CFFF) in the capital city of Cairo on December 10 to 14. CFFF is an annual festival organised by Media Hub Agency for PR, Media, Events and Communication and sponsored by regional and international organisations.
The aim of the festival is to further artistic links between people, to allow meetings between professionals and to build bridges between workers in the field of cinema from different cultures.
The president of the festival and the festival advisory committee will define the broad guidelines of the new edition of the festival and endorse the selection.
A selection committee composed of a number of critics and filmmakers will select the films of the festival under the supervision of the art director.
Official Competitions will include long feature films produced by member countries of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, produced during 2019 – 2020 and long feature films in the French language produced during the aforementioned time period.
The festival will also feature a selection of films which will be projected outdoors at major Egyptian historical sites in Cairo, a master class given by a known international francophone filmmaker, a workshop for the development of scripts and a section to help in completing films with the support of Egyptian studios and laboratories.
The films submitted must be produced between January 2019 and the date of the inauguration of the festival. Each country has the right to participate with more than one film.
The DVD must be received by the selection committee before November 1, 2020, along with the advertising material with no commercial value.
