Following its international premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France on Jan. 29, Tuk-Tuk will be screened in Los Angeles.
Mohamed Kheidr’s Tuk-Tuk, starring Elham Wagdi as Walaa, will represent Egypt at Los Angeles Pan African Film Festival (PAFF), which will run from Jan 29 to Feb 6.
Tuk-Tuk revolves around a woman who was abandoned by her husband and is forced to drive a tuk-tuk to support her family.
PAFF, which is part of the America’s Black History Month, serves as a platform for more than 150 new films from countries including the US, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
