The initiative showcases emerging voices in Arabic cinema.
Egypt’s El Gouna Film Festival has announced the launch of Short Film Lounge, a new initiative intended to provide filmmakers and industry professionals with a dedicated space to immerse themselves in a carefully curated selection of exceptional short films. The lounge aims to serve as a launchpad for emerging voices, where festival programmers, savvy film distributors, forward-thinking producers, and discerning buyers can spot and champion the next generation of Arab filmmakers.
A selection of cinematic gems, carefully chosen for the Short Film Lounge, will come to life within the festival’s hub from October 15 to 23, offering an exclusive preview of the region’s most promising talent. The selected films will also remain accessible online to industry professionals for an extended month beyond the festival’s culmination.
These films are not part of the GFF Official Competition for Short Films. This private lounge is exclusive for CineGouna Market exhibitors and industry professionals.
