Accreditation for the festival is available across five categories, catering to different interests and roles within the film industry.
El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) has reopened accreditation for its recently announced special edition scheduled to take place from December 14 to 21.
In a statement, the organisers said: “It is worth noting that those who had previously applied for accreditation won’t need to reapply.”
Accreditation requests are open to filmmakers, industry professionals, publishing journalists, photographers, TV reporters and crews, radio reporters and crews, online reporters and crews, news agency correspondents, and PR agents representing the films screened at the festival. Students are also encouraged to apply for accreditation. Across its previous five editions, GFF garnered extensive press coverage, amassing thousands of reports, articles, and audio-visual materials.
Over the past five editions, the festival has witnessed active participation from numerous international filmmakers, buyers, distributors, and sales agents, as well as local, regional, and international media representatives. The upcoming special edition promises to continue this tradition of attracting diverse and influential voices within the film community.
In an effort to diversify its offerings, this edition of GFF will feature a special programme dedicated to Palestinian cinema. In collaboration with the Palestine Film Institute, the programme aims to bring attention to the current situation and challenging conditions in Gaza, highlighting the power of storytelling to shed light on important global issues
