Abu Dhabi International Environmental Film Festival (ADIEFF) will kick off tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi Theatre at Water Breaker.
The festival, organised under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, will display about 170 films from 42 countries, among which 50 films were selected to participate in the contests of the official festival and the special screening, from 33 countries in the cinema industry, including United States, France, Germany, Britain, Italy, Spain, India, China and Japan, Slovakia, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Estonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Taiwan, Iran, Bangladesh, Thailand, Colombia, Bolivia, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
Abu Dhabi International Environment Film Festival, which runs from April 20th to 25th, 2013, is an international gathering of the film and environmental industry.
The objective of this event is to raise awareness of global environmental challenges in the region and support the film industry that covers this sector.
