Qatar TVs outside broadcast (OB) van will be featured at the main entrance of IBC this year. The OB van, which has been integrated by Grass Valleys systems integration department in Germany (now part of BTS), will showcase some impressive OB features that will be a first for the Middle East.
This OB van is one of two that will be shipped to Qatar for Qatar TV post IBC. Each of these OB vans, that are designed for HD/3G productions, is cabled for 14 cameras and includes two wireless camera systems with LDK 8300 cameras from Grass Valley, Lawo mixers and more.
Impressive features include an autobalancing mechanism for the van, the ability to open the sides of the OB to double the surface area of the work platform and specially-designed conduits for air conditioning.
