Abu Dhabi based systems integrator Tek Signals has been awarded the contract to upgrade three of Dubai Media Inc.s studios to support 3G and HD, BroadcastPro ME can reveal. The upgrade is intended for DMIs news centre at Dubai Media City. The contract was awarded today.
The contract is part of a phased approach undertaken by DMI to gradually migrate its entire infrastructure to HD and 3G. The news centre has already seen significant upgrades to several parts of its facility as part of the first phase, which included Avid an Vizrt upgrades.
Work will begin shortly, we hear, and is tentatively scheduled for completion within three months.
Tek Signals and DMI were not available for comment.
