The FUJINON HZK25-1000 Cine Box Lens was awarded Best Overall Product in the CREATE Category at NAB this year.
NAB Show announced the winners of the fifth annual Product of the Year Awards during a live ceremony held on April 18 at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, with Fujifilm’s innovative PL-Mount Cinema Box Lens taking home the Best Overall Product award in the CREATE Category amongst over 60 entrants.
During the show, Fujifilm Corporation unveiled the latest development roadmap for the “Duvo” series of broadcast zoom lenses compatible with large format cameras, which have become the mainstream in both the broadcast and the cinema industries. With the new Duvo series, Fujifilm strives to offer optical performance that produces natural yet high-definition footage, whilst at the same time, offering high zoom magnification and compatibility with existing accessories. In the short time since its launch, the ‘’Duvo Box’’ HZK25-1000 has already been embraced by many customers for its ability to produce cinematic visual expressions in a filming style similar to that of traditional broadcast lenses.
New lenses added to the development roadmap this time are a standard zoom lens “HZK Standard” and a wide-angle zoom lens ‘’HZK Portable’’, both in the portable lens category. Similarly to the Duvo HZK25-1000, these lenses adopt a Dual Format chipset, compatible with both types of large sensors used as the mainstream in the cinema industry. The lenses support the Super 35mm sensor normally, and also become compatible with full-frame-equivalent image sensors with the use of the built-in 1.5x expander. In addition, the new lenses accommodate a diverse range of filming styles from handheld, tripod, or with the use of other special equipment. The portable lenses aim to offer greater camera-position options and will enable production that makes maximum use of cinema cameras.
Fujifilm will continue to offer the expanded lineup of the Duvo series of lenses to cater to the diversifying needs at the forefront of production, and plans to market the portable Duvo series of lenses as “Duvo Portable”, creating a complete solution for Broadcasters and Production Houses alike.
