Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises, distributors of Shure microphones and audio electronics in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman has recently supplied new Dubai rental firm Glow Productions with the UHF-R series of wireless microphones together with the new PSM1000 personal monitoring solution.
The deal includes four channels of the UHF-R series with the latest UR4D+ version of receivers providing the cascade feature, the UR1M micro-bodypack transmitter, the UR2/KSM9 handheld transmitter with the KSM9 microphone cartridge.
The UHF-R series is reportedly the most powerful and flexible wireless system to date from Shure. The system, the company claims, masters the high pressure and extreme conditions of any large-scale touring or installation environment while delivering uncompromising Shure sound. The company spokesman also stated that rock-solid engineering, the latest technology, and unparalleled RF performance provide sound professionals with all the features and flexibility they need to tightly control up to 108 systems for the most elaborate productions.
The purchase also includes the latest personal monitoring solution from Shure, the PSM1000. With also four channels provided by two dual channels P10T and four P10R diversity receivers. The same used for the current Red Hot Chili Pepper worldwide tour.
The PSM 1000 Personal Monitor System from Shure reportedly brings personal monitoring to its most advanced level yet. The full-rack, dual-channel, networkable transmitter is ideally suited, the company claims, for the demands of professional touring and installation applications, and the diversity bodypack receiver delivers pristine RF signal and audio quality.
Networkability over Ethernet connection reportedly enables remote control of transmitter functions and comprehensive frequency coordination via Wireless Workbench 6 software which will be shortly launched. In the mean time, users can make use of WWB 5.0.5 to calculate frequencies for the PSM 1000 systems.
“Glow Productions although a new rental firm in the market, have already produced a number of top level shows for both corporate and private entities,” commented Shajahan K K, Shure product manager. He continues, “as most of their work requires high levels of production, they have also procured top of the line equipment to support their jobs. The purchase in the UHF-R series and the new PSM1000 is testament to their aim to deliver.”
