IABM has announced the appointment of Hassan Ghoul as Director, MENA. This newly created position will strengthen IABMs presence and activity in this rapidly developing region, and is just the latest move in IABMs drive to serve vendors in all the worlds major media technology markets. Over the last year, the IABM has also established regional representation in APAC and North America
Ghouls brief covers delivery of the full range of IABM member services and support to vendors in MENA, as well as business development to increase IABM membership in the region, creating a more influential and effective voice in regional matters and on the international stage. Ghoul will be fronting IABMs presence at Cabsat in March, helping to deliver a more MENA-focused service for members.
Ghoul has more than 30 years business development and management experience in the broadcast and media technology industries in the MENA region. Until recently, Ghoul served as Managing Director, Middle East for Grass Valley, having previously worked with ATG, Ascent Media, Tevido and Sony Broadcast & Professional.
Our industry is undergoing massive, transformational changes at present, which are creating unprecedented challenges for broadcast and media technology vendors and their customers in all markets, including MENA, said Ghoul.
The IABM can play a crucial role in helping our members to navigate these fast-moving waters successfully, and I am looking forward to supporting current and potential new members in their efforts to deliver effective solutions to the industry in the MENA region.
With his extensive experience in MENA and deep understanding of the issues facing the broadcast and media technology business, Hassan Ghoul is the ideal choice to expand IABMs presence in the region, said Peter White, IABM CEO.
We welcome Hassan to our growing worldwide team and look forward to the deeper engagement in MENA that his appointment will bring.
