IABM's new CEO, who will have full responsibility for P&L, will manage the organisation in pursuit of its objectives and deliver its longer-term strategic plan for growth and development.
IABM, the international trade and business association for broadcast and media technology, is seeking applications for the role of Chief Executive Officer.
In a statement, IABM said: “We are looking for an outstanding Chief Executive to build on what is already a well-rounded, successful and respected trade association and create an even more compelling offer which will bring all sides of the industry – from all round the world – closer together to secure the future success of the MediaTech industry.”
Reporting to the IABM Members’ Board, the new CEO – who will have full P&L responsibility – will manage IABM in pursuit of its objectives and deliver the longer-term strategic plan for the growth and development of IABM. Key objectives in achieving this include: making IABM the primary advocate in MediaTech; supporting IABM governance arrangements; raising the profile of IABM in the sector and beyond; developing IABM and its member offer; ensuring IABM continues to actively engage with its whole membership; promoting the growth of membership internationally; developing and managing a small, high-performing team; acting as a senior spokesperson for the Broadcast and Media industry at the highest levels; and building alliances with key stakeholders across the whole industry.
The company added: “Applicants will have significant leadership and management experience in a relevant private/ public/ non-profit, preferably with a background in the technology or media industries, and a track record in delivering business change with proven leadership credentials. Strong business acumen and financial literacy are prerequisites. The new CEO will also be a confident communicator, presenter and relationship builder, able to thrive in a technology-driven industry which is transforming at speed. The CEO will also engender trust and respect within and outside the organisation and have the leadership skills to drive and transform teams.”
