The show has attracted more than 70 new exhibitors, including LG Electronics, which is participating for the first time.
IBC2023 has opened its registration process, bringing together the global M&E content and technology community at the RAI Amsterdam from September 15 to 18, 2023, propelling transformation across the sector and conversation about industry trends, advances, best practices, and diversity and inclusion.
IBC2023 will see all halls reopened for the first time since 2019 and two halls are already extended to their maximum capacity.
More than 40,000 sqm of exhibitor space is already booked, exceeding last year’s final total.
Speaking about the event, Michael Crimp, Chief Executive Officer of IBC, said: “The momentum is building towards another vibrant IBC2023. IBC is the place where the media and entertainment sectors convene to design and define the agenda for our industry. IBC enables content everywhere by bringing together buyers and sellers to deliver insights, make connections and unlock opportunities.”
Companies exhibiting at IBC have already booked more than the final figure of 37,000 sqm of space for last year’s show and 2023 will see Halls 3 and 4 re-opened, and maximum growth of Halls 5 and 12.
The event will also welcome more than 70 new exhibitors who have already confirmed, including for the first time global giant LG Electronics and a large number of other East and Southeast Asian firms. Bookings from China alone have more than doubled, exceeding pre-pandemic 2019 figures, with an area-specific China pavilion that will be twice the size as last year and a new South Korean pavilion.
Steve Connolly, Director at IBC, commented: “We are seeing the global scope of IBC growing as exhibitors from Asia Pacific are coming to the show in full force this year. It really speaks to the true international nature of our event. The upshot is we are expecting a major boost in visitors from the APAC region.”
