The deadline for aspiring participants to submit their work for the competition is April 30.
Image Nation Abu Dhabi has launched the Arab Film Studio Scriptwriting competition 2020 which is open to all UAE nationals and residents.
Aspiring participants can submit their work in Arabic or English by April 30. All shortlisted candidates will need to be available for a personal interview during May 2020.
To enter the programme, participants need to submit a script for a short film with a maximum of 20 pages long with font size 12 and single spacing (if in English), and font size 13 and single spacing (if in Arabic).
It has to be of the “narrative” genre, meaning the story should be a fictional piece of work; a regional story to be produced in the UAE, must stay within a total production budget of 100,000AED; and a wholly original work of the applicant.
