The applications for the Screenlife Accelerator Programme are open until August 10, 2024.
Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Bazelevs have announced an online masterclass for aspiring filmmakers and potential participants of the Screenlife Accelerator Programme. The masterclass, scheduled for July 25 at 7.30 pm GST, will offer exclusive insights into the Screenlife format from industry experts, answering participants’ questions and providing details on submitting projects to the upcoming programme.
The Screenlife Accelerator Programme in Abu Dhabi aims to train local talent, including UAE nationals and residents, in the digital filmmaking format where the action unfolds entirely on computer and smartphone screens.
The masterclass will feature an introduction by Maria Zatulovskaya, who spearheaded the development of screenlife films at Timur Bekmambetov’s production company, Bazelevs, and has been involved in projects like Unfriended, Searching and Resurrected. Joann Kushner, Director of Screenlife Abu Dhabi and producer of Life Hack, along with Andrew Smith, Outreach Manager, will be available to answer questions about the filmmaking format.
The workshop will also cover details about the upcoming Screenlife Accelerator Programme starting in September 2024, including submission guidelines and how to get involved in this initiative.
