An international co-production of Australia, the United States and the United Arab Emirates, 'Late Night with the Devil' has already grossed $14m at the international box office.
Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Spooky Pictures have announced the upcoming release of the supernatural horror film Late Night with the Devil in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
Starring David Dastmalchian (known for The Suicide Squad and Oppenheimer), the movie is set in 1977 and tells the story of a charismatic late-night talk show host whose live broadcast unleashes evil into American homes. The film has been critically acclaimed, holding a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has grossed $14m at the global box office.

Late Night with the Devil was written, directed and edited by Australian filmmakers Cameron and Colin Cairnes (known for 100 Bloody Acres and Scare Campaign). The film’s production team includes Derek Dauchy, Mat Govoni, Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Adam White, John Molloy and David Dastmalchian, working for Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Spooky Pictures, Future Pictures and Good Fiend Films.
Spooky Pictures co-productions also provide training opportunities for local filmmakers, helping to develop the regional film industry. Interns who worked on Late Night with the Devil and Watcher have since secured full-time positions within Image Nation’s development teams or found paid placements on other local productions.
The film premiered at SXSW and was a fan favourite at various film festivals, including the Fantasia Festival in Montreal, the Sydney Film Festival, BIFAN in Korea, Sitges, the London Film Festival and Toronto After Dark. It received several accolades, including Best Screenplay at the Sitges Film Festival and Best Feature Film and Best Lead Performance for Dastmalchian at Toronto After Dark.
Late Night with the Devil will be released in theatres on August 1.
