Image Nation Abu Dhabi’s documentary History of the Emirates will be screened to the public as part of Qasr Al Hosn’s Back to the Past programme.
The first episode of the acclaimed series, which looks at the theme of Society, will be shown on January 24 and 25, in both Arabic (6-6:45 pm) and English (8-8:45 pm). The following episodes, exploring Innovation, Trade, Belief and Unity, will be shown each Friday for the next four weeks.
The viewers will experience the artefacts presented in the series through virtual reality and hologram technology.
History of the Emirates spans 125,000 years of UAE history, from the earliest human presence in the region to the national union in 1971. The full five-episode series is available to watch on du and Etisalat on-demand streaming services, while a three-episode international version is showing on Emirates’ and Etihad’s in-flight entertainment systems.
Qasr Al Hosn’s Back to the Past festival will celebrate local heritage through performances, food trucks and retail offerings.
