IndiaCast is launching its new local TV series Checkmate Hunt for the Smartest Young Executive in the Middle East, which revolves around aspiring university students competing their way through a series of challenging business related tasks to win an opportunity to intern with Unilever. The 14-episode television show will be hosted by radio presenters Sid and Malavika. The show is being produced by The Magic Box FZ LLE, and will premiere on 5th February, 2017.
More than 1000 students from across 15+ colleges participated in the auditions held in November and December 2016. Checkmate – Hunt for the Smartest Young Executive in the Middle East brings together the brightest university students from across Middle East in a manner that brings out their intellect and acts as a stepping stone into the professional world.
Through a course of eight weeks, a set of pre-selected 16 boys and girls will be put through seven real-life business challenges and tasks to evaluate them as a team and as individuals. The tasks will test the students ability to deal with stress, decision making skills, marketing abilities, creative thinking, team spirit, time management and provide instant solutions to problems faced in the real business world. Each episode will be judged by a senior professional from that field of business. Popular brands associated with the show include Unilever, RAK Bank & Aardee, to name a few.
Speaking about the show, Sachin Gokhale, Senior VP and Cluster Business Head Middle East, Africa and APAC, said: At IndiaCast, we have always endeavoured to make our content locally relevant to the audiences and give them an opportunity to voice their aspirations and interests. Checkmate – Hunt for the Smartest Young Executive in the Middle East, is one such initiative. We realised that there arent many platforms that give a chance to the students to showcase their skill set. This show is aimed specifically at our young audiences who are currently in a very important phase of their lives as they evolve from being students to responsible professionals. The show aims at finding the smartest young talent and offering them a great launch pad to be able to start their career with a global giant like Unilever.
