Applause Entertainment has previously adapted Yes’s 'Your Honor' for SonyLIV and 'Tanaav'.
Aditya Birla-owned Indian content studio Applause Entertainment has partnered with Israeli content sales, distribution, development and co-production company yes Studios to adapt the latter’s international formats for India.
Other than Tanaav, the latest collaboration that will air on SonyLIV, the two have partnered on shows such as Your Honour and Mind the Malhotras in the past.
Tanaav is not a co-production, rather it is a format licence obtained by Applause from Yes.
Set against the idyllic backdrop of Kashmir in the year 2017, Tanaav tells the story of a Special Covert Ops Unit, their bravery and courage. Delving into the human drama behind the ideologies, dealing with complex emotions and flawed characters, all of whom share the same feelings of love, loss, betrayal and revenge, Tanaav is a socio-political action drama with family at its core.
Yes Studios is open to collaborating with all streamers and broadcasters in India and isn’t signing any exclusive deals.
