Sony Pictures Television Arabia has unveiled its plans to remake popular American game shows in Arabic. The production company will produce 30-minute episodes of “Wheel of Fortune” for Egyptian broadcaster Al Hayat, and produce one-hour episodes of “Jeopardy” for the Dubai-based MBC group.
Sony Pictures Television owns the rights to several other American television shows that may be reworked for the Middle Eastern audience. Potential candidates include popular game show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” and award winning sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”.
