The move comes in response to the Jordanian government's decision to close schools across the Kingdom as a preventive measure to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
The Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) has announced that it will be broadcasting lessons and educational materials this week on its sports channel.
“The schedule for the general secondary classes quota that will be broadcast via the sports channel (Jordanian TV) screen, on the Facebook page, and on the sports channel page on YouTube,” JRTV tweeted on Tuesday.
The move comes in response to the Jordanian government’s decision to close schools across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JRTV corporation is working with the Ministry of Education to broadcast educational materials on the corporation’s sports channel, Director General Mohammad Balqar told the local news agency.
Balqar added that the times of broadcasted classes will be announced through the ministry’s e-education platform and the JRTV and the Jordan News Agency, Petra’s social media accounts.
