Game show Ikhsar Wa Irba7 (Lose & Win) produced by Jordan-based Roya TV has been shortlisted in the category – ‘Factual Entertainment Programme of the Year’ for the annual awards at the global TV and digital content event, MIPCOM. The awards ceremony will be held on October 14 at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes.
As reported earlier, a spokesperson for Roya TV informed BroadcastPro ME that the game show Ikhsar Wa Irba7 (Lose & Win), that allows viewers to compete for money, saw a surge in online viewership during Ramadan, with Android screen views showing an increase of 142%. The Amman-based Roya TV network reported an 82% increase in its online viewership by the end of Ramadan which translates to a total of 115,870,797 views as per network sources.
Also nominated for the MIPCOM awards is du in the category ‘OTT TV Technology of the Year’ and Comedy Central International for Bad Snappers: Middle East in the category ‘Best Digital Original’.
