The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) conducted a familiarisation tour for high-profile representatives from prominent international cinema, television studios and production companies from October 1 to 7, 2023. The tour, sponsored by the Jordan Tourism Board, aimed to introduce the delegates to Jordan’s diverse locations and the country’s well-developed infrastructure and skilled crew.
The four-member delegation included Brett Boydstun, Senior Vice President Production at Warner Brothers Discovery; Gary Goodman, EVP of Production at Lionsgate Entertainment; Lisa Niedenthal, Head of Physical Production at Blumhouse; and Chris Hadlock, SVP, Physical Production at Amblin Partners (formally, DreamWorks). The delegates also toured Salt, Jerash, Ajloun, Madaba, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba and the Dead Sea, most of which have served as filming locations for numerous local, Arab and international productions.

Commenting on the fam tour, Mohannad Al Bakri, the RFC’s Managing Director, said: “For the second consecutive year, the RFC’s annual FAM tour continues successfully. Advocating for Jordan’s potential as a filming destination, something that has been repeatedly proven with the different international productions that continue to choose Jordan to shoot their films, such as Disney and Lucasfilm’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lionsgate’s John Wick: Chapter 4, and Warner Brothers’ Dune 1 & 2, to name a few”.
