Korean media houses, Channel A, CJ E&M, Group Eight, KBS Media, MBC and XrisP will screen promos or pilots of their productions on Tuesday, March 12 from 12pm to 1.30 pm, as part of KOCCAs efforts to create greater visibility for their content among regional buyers.
Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), a South Korean government agency, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and tasked with promoting cultural content globally, will screen six Korean programmes on Tuesday, March 12 from 12pm-1.30pm at the Dubai World Trade Centre as part of CABSATs Flix on 86 initiative.

Although KOCCA has been operational in Abu Dhabi for the last three years with the aim of promoting its content in MENA, 2019 will see the government arm take more active role in promoting Korean content both for online as well as linear platforms.
MBC already carries some Korean content on its linear and OTT channels, Sang Wook Park, Senior Manager, KOCCA.

KOCCA will be part of the Korean pavilion at CABSAT.
In other news, KOCCA intends to host the K-Content expo for the first time in the UAE from October 16-18, 2019 at Dubai World Trade Centre, where it plans to bring around 50 Korean TV entertainment providers from the TV, gaming, animation and VR segments to showcase their works in the region.
