'Sattar' topped the list of most attended movies, with nearly 1m tickets sold.
Since the opening of cinemas in Saudi Arabia in 2018, 31 Saudi films have been produced and screened, according to the General Commission For Audiovisual Media (GCAM).
GCAM also announced the top five Saudi movies in the cinemas which have witnessed a huge turnout of cinema lovers.
The action-comedy Sattar topped the list of most attended movies, with nearly 1m tickets sold. It is followed by Alhamour and Born a King in the second and third places, respectively. Shams Al-Ma’arif came fourth, while Masameer was in fifth place.
The achievement came as a result of the support for local movie production and diversifying sources of income and entertainment as per Saudi Vision 2030 and all of the movies contribute to realising targets and goals.
