The authorities had closed down cinemas, theatres and other gatherings last year in May due to Covid-19.
Kuwait-based cinema Cinescape has announced that it will reopen during the Eid al-Fitr, in coordination with the Ministry of Health after being closed for around 15 months.
The cinema management said only those who had been vaccinated against Covid-19 – first dose or both – would be allowed entry, in compliance with the social distancing rules as per the MOH guidelines.
The authorities had closed down cinemas, theatres, wedding halls and meeting rooms at hotels last year in May aimed at preventing the spread of the new coronavirus in the country.
