The American motivational speaker and author is set to appear on “Al Likaa” with Saudi host, Mofeed Al-Nowaiser, on May 8 and 9.
American motivational speaker and author Les Brown will be making his first appearance on a Middle East and North Africa (MENA) television network on May 8 and 9. Brown is set to appear on Al Likaa with Mofeed Al-Nowaiser on MBC1.
Al Likaa hosts a series of inspirational personalities from Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region and the world.
During this two-part episode – scheduled to air today and tomorrow at 6 pm (UAE) – Brown will share his journey and reveal some never-told-before stories, including the arrest of his mother when he was a child.
Commenting on the show, Al-Nowaiser said: “Les Brown discloses the extreme poverty he and his family encountered during his childhood, and discloses other stories never told before, including his job as a shoeshiner, and him having to search for copper in garbage cans to sell to provide food for him and his siblings when his mother was imprisoned.
“He also goes into details about how he discovered the strengths that made him into the personality he is today, and how his perseverance led to his success. His motivational tales are a much-need injection of positivity to inspire others in the region and create hope for our viewers.”
Now in its fifth season, Al Likaa has hosted some of the biggest names in the region including the British-Egyptian professor of cardiothoracic surgery, Sir Magdi Yacoub; as well as Uthman Taha, the internationally acclaimed Arabic calligrapher who handwrote the Mushaf Al-Madinah, the copy of the Quran issued by the King Fahd Complex for the printing of the Holy Quran.
