Joining the roster of up-and-coming talent that MAD Solutions supports are rising stars Bunna Khalid, Fady Elsayed and Mayan El Sayed.
As part of its efforts to champion the Arab world’s up and coming acting talent, film distributor MAD Solutions is promoting three up-and-coming actors; Sudanese actress Bunna Khalid (You Will Die at Twenty), British-Egyptian actor Fady Elsayed (My Brother the Devil), and Egyptian actress Mayan El Sayed (Banat Sanawy, Harb Karmooz).
MAD Rising Celebrity has previously announced offering its services to a list of prominent actors, namely; Fares Landalousi (Tunisia), Fatima AlBanaway (KSA), Sarrah Abdelrahman (Egypt), Tara Abboud (Palestine-Jordan), and Mohammad Nizar (Jordan).
Sudanese actress Bunna has previously created a buzz through her performance in director Amjad Abu Alala’s You Will Die at Twenty, which reaped several international awards and has been picked as Sudan’s official submission to the 2021 Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language Film category. Currently, she is making her first steps towards the Egyptian TV industry by starring in the TV drama King Ahmose. The series marks one of Egypt’s big-budget productions in 2021, and is based on the celebrated book The Struggle of Thebes by the Nobel Laureate writer Naguib Mahfouz. Starring Amr Youssef and Saba Mubarak. The film is co-written by Khaled Diab and Sherine Diab, and directed by Hussein El Menbawy.
Fady Elsayed is a British actor who marked his breakthrough in My Brother the Devil that put his name forward for Best British Newcomer at the BFI London Film Festival. Fady’s talent caught the attention of several international filmmakers and soon he starred in a number of international films, including: Penny Dreadful starring Eva Green, in which he played the role of a vampire, Matthew Heineman’s A Private War, starring Rosamund Pike, and Danish film Daniel by director Anders W. Berthelsen, in addition to other film and TV projects.
After a remarkable performance in Banat Sanawy film in 2020, Mayan El Sayed also is set to take part in three other TV hits during 2021: Hajmatan Murtada by director Ahmad Alaa Aldeeb, starring Ahmed Ezz and Hend Sabry; Tamer Mohsen’s Crossroads, starring Mona Zaki; and Harb Ahliya by director Sameh Abd El-Aziz, starring Youssra. Mayan made her first foray into acting through a number of TV series in 2016, including Abu Al-Banat, Al-Moghany and El Ab El Rohi, followed by Zel El Raees, Kaeno Embareh, Fekra B’million Geneh, and Viu’s first original, Zodiac. She also starred in the box-office hit Harb Karmooz in 2018.
MAD Rising Celebrity is launched through MAD Solutions’ subsidiary MAD Celebrity which has been supporting more than 50 of the Arab world’s A-list stars in the entertainment industry, offering them its endorsement services in more than 400 works, and escorted them to more than 100 film festivals and high-end events.
