In an internal memo to MBC staff, he called the broadcast network “the brightest in the region’s media and entertainment industry … under the leadership of our Televisionary Chairman, Waleed Al-Ibrahim and with the trust and support of our esteemed Board Members and key business partners.”
He called the network “future proof” because it continues to “attract and employ the best available talent in MENA” and remains “commercially minded and profitable” with positive cash flow.
He lauded the network’s TV and multimedia offerings as the “strongest and most culturally-relevant”, calling its local content “up to international standards”.
“As we move forward and progress with our Group’s five-year expansion and growth vision, we continue to be ambitious with numerous new projects and initiatives, while still focusing on our core business,” he continued.
“I am glad to be back in the Middle East and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you in person. So, see you soon in Dubai, Cairo, Beirut, Amman, Riyadh and Jeddah,” he concluded.
