Mark Billinge, former director of Broadcast Operations at OSN has been promoted to new Vice President of Broadcast Engineering and Operations. (BO+E), BroadcastPro has learnt. Billinge has taken over from Mike Whittaker, who left the company in October 2010.
As part of the structural review and consolidation of OSN, BroadcastPro also learnt that the Technology and Broadcast functions of the pay TV network would be brought under one divisional structure.
Under the new structure, Billinge will take charge of OSNs Technology, Engineering and Operations functions, including the platform requirements of the business.
Assisting him will be Xavier Willame, who joined OSN as a consultant following Whittakers departure from the company last year.
Willame, who assisted in OSNs transition from its previous Technology Management, has been instrumental in consolidating the networks technology base and ensuring a smooth transition to its future requirements.
