MBC Group has announced the North American launch of Shahid VIP, its direct-to-consumer streaming service dedicated to Arabic content.

Since MBC Group first launched Shahid VIP across the MENA region in January 2020, the platform has attracted over 1.4m subscribers, while also rolling out in the UK and across Europe. The North American launch will, for the first time, make a direct-to-consumer Arabic streaming service available to the millions of Arab nationals living in the U.S. and Canada.

Shahid VIP will be available, commercial-free, on any compatible device, including Smart TVs, streaming media players, Android, iOS or desktops. Throughout November, Shahid VIP will be free to North American subscribers for the first 30 days, then $8.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the US and $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year in Canada.
