The extended licensing deal results in the ongoing broadcast of top titles across MBC2 and Shahid.
With the extension of its licensing agreement with NBCUniversal, MBC Group will continue to show Hollywood movies by Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation in the region.
This latest multi-year extension forms part of a 20+ year ongoing relationship between MBC Group and NBCUniversal.
With the extended licensing deal, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation titles will be broadcast on MBC2, MBC’s English-language movie channel.

This includes the showcase of first-run box office hits for a free-to-air TV channel, such as F9: The Fast Saga, The Boss Baby: Family Business, The Croods: A New Age and The Invisible Man. Also included are the film franchises Bourne, Despicable Me, Jurassic Park and The Mummy.
The extended licensing deal also sees titles appearing on Shahid, the Arabic streaming platform by MBC Group. Focusing on family fun, featured titles include Shrek, Shrek 2, Sing, Trolls, The Secret Life of Pets, Minions, Dr Seuss‘ The Lorax and Shark Tale.
