With the new PoP in Riyadh, Medianova promises a better live streaming experience including webinars and live video chats via its Webcast Platform.
Medianova has deployed a new PoP (Point Of Presence) in Riyadh. The PoP will connect to SAIX (Saudi Arabia Internet Exchange) and help to improve online traffic performance in Saudi Arabia by reducing latency and enhancing the localisation of both content and traffic.
A recent Statista report says that in 2025, the number of internet users in Saudi Arabia will reach an estimated 36.2m users, up from around 28.8m users in 2019. The number of mobile internet users in Saudi Arabia is predicted to reach 36.17m users in 2025.
Speaking about Medianova’s presence and the impact of a PoP in KSA, Serkan Sevin, CEO of Medianova said: “At this point, we are extremely happy to be able to power Saudi companies with our services and are looking forward to many new PoPs in the region. No business ever is willing to lose customers because of a slow website, and the Saudi market is no exception.
Thus, for Saudi companies to be able to serve both local and global audiences, and for international businesses to be able to reach Saudi consumers from other parts of the globe, it is mandatory to deliver content flawlessly to the end-user, and CDN helps attain this goal.“
