Arab entertainment company Melody Group has acquired a licence from Fujairah Media Group to begin operations from the emirates Creative City media free zone. The licence may have been acquired to continue operations from a zone, free of political turmoil.
Melody Group, which operates several channels including Melody Arabia, Melody Movies, Melody Drama and Melody Hits, out of its Cairo and Beirut facilities, will also use the media and administrative facilities at Creative City to run its operations.
An FMG statement said: The free zone issues permits to companies and organisations investing in the media, management, technology, consultancy, and information systems sectors and also provides infrastructure and services for radio, TV, press, and the internet.
