Red Sea Labs and the Middle East Media Initiative (MEMI) have joined hands to invite talented television screenwriters to apply for a one-week TV writing and development program. The workshop will be held from November 30 – December 5, 2023 in Jeddah, on the sidelines of the Red Sea International Film Festival.
During the program, participants will work on developing their scripts through a week-long simulation of the writing room method along with in-depth training on pitching their projects. Through the all-costs covered workshop, MEMI seeks to support the current generation of Arab TV screenwriters and content creators in telling stories that entertain and engage audiences around local issues.
The workshop is open to writers of all levels and applicants must have proficiency in English. Applicants must also submit a TV project that has uncontested ownership. More details of the program can be found here. October 25 is the last date for applications.
