After struggling to find a new movie role post-Aladdin, Mena Massoud will star opposite Laura Marano in 'The Royal Treatment'.
Netflix has announced that Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud and American actress Laura Marano as the stars of the upcoming romantic movie The Royal Treatment.
The film, directed by Rick Jacobson and written by Holly Heist, is produced by Marano and her siblings Ellen Marano and Vanessa Marano. It tells the story of Isabella, a strong-minded woman who runs a salon and her encounter with Prince Thomas, a man looking for love but forced into an arranged marriage.
The film, which is expected to be shot in New Zealand, will be executively produced by Steve Berman and Dan Read.
Mena Massoud is also set to star in a new Egyptian feature film titled Fe Ez el Dohr.
While plot information is still under wraps, it’s been revealed that Massoud will be joined by Egyptian actress Myrna Noureldin in the forthcoming film.
It will be the first Egyptian film that Massoud will star in.
