Details regarding the cast and the premiere date of the series are still pending release.
Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby is gearing up to headline a new series, Safenga W Zaflata, directed by Kamla Abu Zekry. The production is slated to commence filming after the Ramadan 2024 season and is scheduled for release on the Arabic streaming platform Shahid.
Comprising 15 episodes, Safenga W Zaflata marks the second television collaboration between Shalaby and Abu Zekry, following the success of their previous venture, Betlo El-Roh (2023). The latter, a well-received Ramadan drama, unravelled a compelling narrative around a woman trapped in a terrorist hideout, manipulated by her husband, and her courageous efforts to break free.
While details about the cast and the series’ premiere date are yet to be unveiled, anticipation is building for another collaboration between Shalaby and Abu Zekry.
Menna Shalaby, who embarked on her acting journey in 2001 with a role in Hadeeth Al Sabah Wal Masaa, has since become a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. Notably, she made history as the first Arab Egyptian actress to receive nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards.
