The partnership already runs in Germany and Turkey, and will launch in the UK, Ireland, and Iberia throughout the rest of this year.
Moonbug Entertainment, a division of Candle Media, has unveiled plans to make a diverse range of its content accessible on Prime Video for audiences across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Turkey and Portugal.
Under this agreement, localised versions of shows such as CoComelon JJ’s Animal Time, Blippi Wonders, and Little Angel will be made available in Castilian Spanish. Additionally, the entire collection of Blippi content and Oddbods libraries will be accessible to the UK market.
Commenting on the agreement, Gina Costelloe, head of Distribution & Originals, EMEA at Moonbug Entertainment, said: “As our IP portfolio grows and the popularity of our characters crosses frontiers, working with Prime Video allows us to expand the reach of our content to an even wider audience. Our content is a retention driver for kids and family audiences on streaming platforms such as Prime Video, which highlights the relevance of this partnership, especially as we strive to meet families where they are and provide a great viewing experience.”
The partnership with Prime Video will bring both new episodes and classic episodes from Moonbug’s portfolio to the platform. The collaboration is already underway in Germany and Turkey, while the launch in the UK, Ireland, and Iberia is scheduled for the remainder of the year.
The availability of programmes will differ by region, encompassing notable IPs such as Lellobee City Farm, Blippi & Meekah Wonders, Little Baby Bum, Oddbods, and the highly acclaimed series, CoComelon Animal Time.
