The deal means that National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Disney Channel, Disney Junior along with ESPN and ESPN2 will continue to be carried by DStv for the next four years.
MultiChoice has announced a significant multi-year distribution agreement for Disney’s portfolio of linear channels on DStv, extending until 2027.
Under the deal, DStv will continue to carry National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, as well as ESPN and ESPN2 for the next four years.

The Walt Disney Company operates 24-hour channels in Africa, in both English and Portuguese, across the portfolios of family (Disney Channel and Disney Junior), factual (National Geographic, National Geographic Wild), as well as sports (ESPN and ESPN 2).
While Disney Channel has been withdrawn in several major markets, the content has been repurposed on the streaming service Disney+. Disney+ has been available in South Africa since May 2022.
ESPN & ESPN 2 offer coverage of every major US sport as well as European football, and popular premier American leagues including the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), and Major League Baseball (MLB).
