National Geographic Abu Dhabi launched the eighth annual SharkFest across the Middle East from August 5.
Extending for six weeks, Nat Geo Abu Dhabi will air shark programmes at 9 pm UAE time with six original premieres and the other shows on sharks from the networks’ library as part of the fest.
Sharks of the Bermuda Triangle, which will air on August 12, will follow a marine biologist who tracks an elusive tiger shark to uncover nature’s most mysterious hotspot.
Whale vs. Shark, which will air on August 19, will see Ryan Johnson, a marine biologist based in South Africa, filming a humpback whale being attacked and strategically drowned by a white shark.
The summer season programming line-up also includes Jaws Lagoon which already aired on August 5, That’s Bull Shark on August 26, America’s Deadliest on September 2, and Eye Witness Shark Attacks on September 9.
