NEP Group has acquired wireless audio-visual specialist Broadcast Sports International (BSI). The US-based BSI designs and provides broadcast-quality wireless audio-visual products and systems for television networks and sports. These include wireless camera systems, wireless audio systems, wireless communications systems and digital technology to receive, decode and distribute images and sounds. NEP Group says the BSI brand will remain in the market and Jeremy Pink and Peter Larsson of BSIs senior management team will continue to run the business.
The acquisition of BSI adds wireless capabilities to NEP Groups line of specialty capture services. In addition to Bexel and Fletcher, other NEP acquisitions over the past two years have included, SIS LIVE in October, FilmGEARs business Showcare in August, Big Picture in July, Telerecord in June.
Commenting on the acquisition, NEP Broadcast Services global President Mike Werteen said: Weve worked alongside BSIs team for years and share a great deal of respect for their high-quality work and technology.
