Filmed in Egypt, 'Paranormal', directed by Amr Salam, is one of five Middle Eastern Originals from Netflix.
Egyptian director Amr Salama announced on Sunday that the filming of the drama series Ma Waraa al-Tabeea (The Paranormal) was concluded on July 18.
With a picture on his official Instagram page, Salama wrote: “In these difficult circumstances, it’s a wrap!”.
The show is based on the titular novel by late Egyptian author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik and is being produced by Netflix. The show is co-produced by Mohamed Hefzy.
Set in the 1960s, the series starring Egyptian actor Ahmed Amin depicts the adventures of Dr. Refaat Ismail, a single haematologist who finds himself in the midst of a series of supernatural events.
Filmed in Egypt, Paranormal is one of Netflix’s five Middle Eastern productions along with Jinn, Al-Rawabi School for Girls, Abla Fahita and the Hend Sabry series.
