Ezama replaces Jessica Neal and will begin at Netflix in mid-September.
Netflix has appointed Sergio Ezama as its Chief Talent Officer. He is currently serving as Global Chief Talent Officer at PepsiCo.
Ezama will work remotely from New York to start but ultimately will operate out of several different offices. He will begin at Netflix in mid-September after serving as PepsiCo’s global chief talent officer and chief human resources officer.
Ezama will replace Jessica Neal, who left Netflix in April after a total of 12 years at the company, four of which were spent as chief talent officer.
Speaking about the new appointment, Greg Peters, Netflix’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer, who oversaw hiring for the position, said: “He has a truly global perspective that will be critical as we continue to build teams around the world – enabling us to better serve the needs of members everywhere.”
Sergio Ezama, Chief Talent Officer, PepsiCo, wrote in a post: “20 years at PepsiCo leave a mark. I will be forever grateful for the many memories and friends I have been fortunate enough to make over the years. In many regards, all my mentors, colleagues and friends have shaped the person I am. That debt will never be possibly repaid. Soon I will be cheering for all of you, knowing that PepsiCo will continue to thrive and shine. With one chapter ending, a new one begins. It’s a privilege to join Netflix to lead a fascinating people agenda in such an iconic and unique organisation. I am looking forward to building upon its culture of transparency, freedom and excellence so that all employees – whatever their background – can do the best work of their lives.”
Ezama holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources, Juridical Practice and Law from the University of Deusto.
