BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH in Mainz, Germany has expanded its management team with the appointment of Scott Lührs, who joined the company from December 1, 2017. He heads the KSC Controller Systems division making him responsible for BFEs broadcast control and monitoring solutions such as KSC CORE and KSC SILKNET as well as the team for project based software development.
As head of the division KSC Controller Systems at BFE, Scott Lührs oversees the technological and commercial advancement of the KSC product line as well as BFEs software and hardware. Products, such as the successful broadcast control and monitoring solution KSC CORE, the innovative broadcast SDN controller KSC SILKNET for video-over-IP system environments, a resource pool for project based software development, as well as components such as hardware control panels, GPIO controllers and under monitor displays are among his responsibilities.
Scott Lührs marks another very important step for our future business development. He brings with him many years of experience in broadcast as well as IT, so a perfect mix of deep knowledge about broadcast processes and modern IT technology in general. Scott Lührs is an expert in computer sciences and has, at the same time, years of experience in the international broadcasting industry under his belt. After successfully founding and leading several companies in the fields of storage and network technology as well as broadcast IT, he worked at Avid as Global Solutions and Global Product Consultant on the development of the MediaCentral platform, focusing on media asset management solutions and their integration into classical Avid products.
