Qatar-based systems integrator Salam Media Cast (SMC) has announced a major rebranding exercise just prior to CABSAT, the Middle East’s leading broadcast exhibition. In addition, BroadcastPro ME can also reveal that the systems integrator has hired several people from the region to join its technical team.
While the rebranding will include a new brand identity, new logo, new offices, new website as well as new collateral, the new appointments also seem to suggest that the company is gearing up to undertake some ambitious projects in the future.
Paul Hennessy was appointed CEO of Salam Media Cast around six months ago. More recently, Steve Halis, who was formerlywith Moby Group joined Salam as CTO. Derek Holland from Al Jazeera Children’s Channel and Charles Maasry, who was previously with Harmonic’s Dubai office also joined Salam earlier this year.
Last year, Salam Media Cast had made a special announcement at CABSAT that it had been acquired by a Qatar-based company injecting it with sufficient capital to undertake bigger projects in the region.
