Club FM, the radio division of Kerala-based Mathrubhumi Group, has launched a new Malayalam radio station Club 99.6 in the UAE. This is Mathrubhumis fifth radio station, and its first station outside India.
Club 99.6 will be aired on the frequency 99.6 FM and will offer news and round-the-clock entertainment and music programmes to the Malayalee diaspora.
The station sports the tagline Ton Kannakkinu fun meaning tonnes of fun and offers a variety of programmes covering old and contemporary Malayalee music as well as current affairs.
Speaking at the launch, M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Director- Electronic & Media, Mathrubhumi Group, said: Club FM is a sunshine brand, cherished for its zest, positivity and humour, and Club 99.6 will also share the same qualities. We have channelled our efforts in envisioning this product for the UAE, which is a good market for FM. We are sure that our new endeavour will strike a chord with young listeners.
